Park Walk Tech Spec: Activities Menu

File Naming Conventions:

For activity options that involve recording of content to the storage card (camera, recorder, and video options), the following naming convention should be used:

NodeXX_mm-dd-yyyy_hh-mm[ _yy ].ext

where:

  • XX = current node where file is being recorded
  • mm = month
  • dd = day
  • yyyy = year
  • hh = hour
  • ext = file extension (i.e. jpg, wav/wma, mp4)
  • yy = optional file number, which is only appended to the end
of the file name if another file with identical date and time
    information exists

  • Example 1:
(Node 1, sound file recorded on Sept 9, 2006, at 8:15 pm )
    Node01_09-01-2006_20-15.jpg
  • Example 2 - Multiple files recorded within the same minute:
    Node01_09-01-2006_20-15_01. jpg
    Node01_09-01-2006_20-15_02. jpg
    Node01_09-01-2006_20-15_03. jpg
